From November 26 to 27, local time, the 8th Hamburg Summit of China-Europe Forum was held in Hamburg, Germany. Vice Premier Liu He of the State Council attended the closing ceremony and delivered a keynote speech.
The participants had discussions over a range of hot issues, including the role of China and Europe in the current global economy, the Belt and Road Initiative, digitalization and artificial intelligence, and China-Europe cooperation on the green economy and investment.
Executive Vice President of COSCO SHIPPING Yu Zenggang attended the summit. And as a guest speaker, he shared his views at the parallel session “China-EU-US Trade Relations – How to Rebalance and Strengthen Global Trade Relations” on the afternoon of November 26. Yu said COSCO SHIPPING will seize the opportunities brought by the B&R Initiative and carry out closer, deeper and more extensive cooperation with its European counterparts based on resource sharing and coordinated development.
The Hamburg Summit is a biennial event initiated in 2004. With the theme of “China meets Europe”, it is aimed at building a platform for open dialogue China and Europe, and promoting the economic exchanges and mutual understanding between the two sides.
