On November 14th, 2017, the 50th BoD of Chinese-Tanzanian Joint Shipping Company was held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Director of the Board, President of COSCO SHIPPING and Chairman of Chinese-Tanzanian Joint Shipping Company Mr. Wan Min, representing the Chinese side, and Acting Permanent Secretary of Works, Transport and Communications of Tanzania, and Acting Chairman of Chinese-Tanzanian Joint Shipping Company Gabriel Migire on behalf of the Tanzanian side, attended the meeting. During the meeting, the efforts to develop businesses in Africa, achievements of business transformation and upgrade were highly spoken of, and the annual working report in 2016, the budget report in 2017 as well as other proposals were approved in the meantime.
The agreement for 50th Bod of Chinese-Tanzanian Joint Shipping Company was signed by both sides in presence of Mr. Gou Haodong, Minister-Counselor to Tanzania. The signing ceremony was also attended by Directors, General Managers from both sides.
During the signing ceremony, Mr. Wan Min said the Chinese-Tanzanian Joint Shipping Company was the fruit of friendship between two countries, the example of economic and trade cooperation, witnessing the ups and downs for nearly 50 years. The 50th BoD followed the tide of development and Belt and Road Initiative. It was convinced that with the support of both governments and all the staff, our company would march ahead, grow more robust, and finally become the icon of economic and trade cooperation between two countries.
